A virtual reality golf game for playing and practicing realistic rounds at home, with no course or tee time.

Golfy VR at a glance

Golfy VR is a virtual reality golf game that brings the course to the player. With a headset on, golfers play realistic holes at home, with par, distance, wind and score in view. It's made for people short on time, travel or nearby greens.

Platform
Virtual reality headset

Tee off anytime, anywhere

Players step onto a virtual green wherever they are and see par, distance and wind for each hole before they swing.

Bring the course to you: play and practice whenever you like, with no travel. Made for golfers with busy lives.

Real gameplay in your own space

Every round tracks score and handicap and offers a tip for the hole, so practice at home feels close to the real thing.

Problem

Why golf needed a VR version

Golf takes big outdoor spaces and a lot of time. That's hard for anyone with a busy career or family, or living in a city far from a course, and tee times, travel and memberships add more barriers.

Solution

How we built Golfy VR

We used virtual reality to bring the course into the player's own space. The game runs in a fully immersive environment, with readouts for par, distance to the hole, wind and temperature, and a scorecard for every round.

What does Golfy VR include?

Realistic holes, plus the information a golfer checks on a real course, shown right in the player's view.

  • Immersive VR play

  • Hole-by-hole readouts

  • Score and handicap

  • Play in your own space

Questions about this project

Quick answers about Golfy VR.

What is Golfy VR?

A virtual reality golf game. Players wear a VR headset and play realistic holes, with par, distance and wind shown for each one, so they can play and practice at home instead of driving to a course.

How does a virtual reality golf game work?

The headset puts the player on a virtual course, and their swing becomes the shot. Golfy VR adds what a golfer checks on a real hole, such as par, yards left, wind and temperature, and keeps score.

Can you practice golf in VR at home?

Yes. That's what Golfy VR is for: golfers who can't find the time, or live far from a course, can play full rounds in their own space without booking a tee time or traveling.
